Pearlescent Pigments

  1. Silver White Pigment – Mica + TiO2 – (PSWP Series) -- This group consists of platelets of mica coated with a thin layer of TiO2. Both Anatase and Rutile type of titanium dioxide can be used. When Rutile type of titanium dioxide is the product offers UV stability and better weather resistance.
  2. Iridescent Dual Color Pigment – Mica + TiO2 (Thickness of TiO2 varies) – (PIDP Series) -- This product line is made with mica flakes coated with Rutile TiO2 by controlling the various levels. The rainbow effect depends on the thickness of the TiO2. TiO2 has high refractive index and the mica has low refractive index and two beams of light will create interference resulting different colors. Thus without using colored pigments or dyes the colors are created and therefore this product line offers excellent light-fastness.
It is important to select the complementary pigments. For example: Incorrect Selection: PIDP-205 which has specular gold/yellow and blue transmitted and PIDP-225 which has specular blue and pink transmitted and because blue transmitted of PIDP-205 and specular blue of PIDP-225 will be nullified. Correct Selection: PIDP-205 which has specular gold/yellow and blue transmitted and PIDP-235 which has specular green and rose pink transmitted and there is no nullified product selection.
  3. Gold Metallic Luster Pigment – Mica + TiO2 + Fe2O3 – (PGML Series) -- Gold metallic luster effect pigment consists of platelets of mica coated with Fe2O3 layer and the controlled layer of titanium dioxide will create variety of shades. Besides high temperature resistance, chemical stability and light-fastness it offers non-conductive properties also.
  4. Tint Luster Effect Pigment – Mica + TiO2 + Light stable pigments – (PTCL Series) -- This product line offers both color and luster. The dual color effect is produced by adding absorptive pigment to the pearl white pigment. The silver white color can be seen at reflection angle. The color of absorption pigment is diffused reflected and seen at the flop angle. This group of pigment can be used by itself and with absorbing pigment and/or also with the transparent pigment.
  5. Chromatic-Metal Luster Pigment – Mica + Fe2O3 – (PCML Series) -- It consists of mica coated with Fe2O3 to generate different colors by controlling the thickness of Fe2O3 layer.

Sparkle Luster (High Performance) -- The products listed below exhibit extra ordinary sparkle on a flop and are reserved for high industry applications including but not exclusive to automotive and cosmetics. These products differ for 100-500 series because they utilize glass instead of mica.

  1. High Performance Industrial Grade Sparkle Luster – Glass + TiO2 – (PSL 58xx Series-40-200 µm)
  2. General Purpose Grade Sparkle Luster – Glass + TiO2 – (PSL 58xx Series - 40-200 µm)
  3. Industrial & General Purpose Grade Sparkle Luster – Glass + TiO2 – (M1000 Series - 10-60 µm)
  4. Industrial & General Purpose Grade Sparkle Luster – Glass + TiO2 – (M2000 Series - 20-100 µm)
  5. Without Any Colored Pigments Proprietary Ti Effect Pigments – Mica + TiO2 – (160x series)
